Le piante d’appartamento ci mettono in contatto con la natura e rendono subito un luogo più accogliente e colorato. In più irradiano energia positiva che influenza tutti i settori della vita. Quelle che ho scelto (e coltivo con amore) appartengono alla famiglia delle succulente, perché contengono una riserva d’acqua al loro interno; sono facili da mantenere, non richiedono particolari attenzioni, e vanno innaffiate poco. Insomma, sono piante indoor a prova di pollice nero!
Non saranno proprio le piante più trendy del momento ma se saprete volergli bene vi daranno grandi soddisfazioni.

CRASSULA OVATA
Detto anche Albero dei Soldi o Albero di Giada è una succulenta che, secondo il Feng Shui, attira prosperità e ricchezza e simboleggia il fluire del denaro.
Le foglie sono di forma ovale e assomigliano a delle monete, sono spesse e lucide.
Se dovete fare un regalo, questa è la pianta giusta! Posizionatela nella parte sud-est della casa e datele acqua (pochissima) ogni 3-4 giorni.
ECHINOCACTUS GRUSONII
Detto anche Cuscino della suocera, Sfera d’Oro o Grusone. E’ stata chiamata così perché assomiglia ad un porcospino ed il significato della parola greca Echinos è appunto porcospino.
In inverno non datele acqua, mentre innaffiatela pochissimo in primavera-estate.
Può raggiungere anche i 60 cm di diametro, ma per ottenere queste dimensioni dovrete pazientare anche quindici anni (lo stesso per avere la prima fioritura). Va benissimo in soggiorno o in cucina. Non regalatela a vostra suocera, a meno che non sia un’appassionata di cactus 😉
SCHLUMBERGERA – NATALINA
Succulenta che fiorisce sotto Natale, da cui deriva il suo nome.
Non va potata, ma vanno eliminate solo le foglie secche o danneggiate. Appena fa freddo tenetela al riparo in casa, perché ha bisogno di una temperatura di almeno 15°.
Si adatta bene alle avversità, quindi il suo significato è solidità e rinascita. Il fatto che fiorisca a Natale la rende una pianta bene augurale ed un simbolo di rinnovamento. Rappresenta inoltre un periodo di transizione da un periodo brutto a uno migliore. Siate felici se vi regalano questa pianta!
AEONIUM
Molto robusta, l’Aeonium ha una straordinaria capacità di adattamento; per questo il suo significato è perseveranza e sentimento duraturo.
Ci sono molte diverse specie di Aeonium, se ne contano 37, che differiscono tra loro per forma e colore delle foglie e dei fiori; le tonalità variano dal grigio-verde, al rossastro, al verde chiaro, al violaceo. Richiede una posizione soleggiata (meglio se durante l’estate viene messa all’esterno) e un terreno sempre umido, ma teme moltissimo i ristagni d’acqua. Non si pota, ma vanno solo eliminate le foglie secche o danneggiate.
Mettetela in un bel vaso; più questo sarà grande, più si moltiplicherà e in estate troverete dei fiori bellissimi.
ALOE
Chiamata dagli arabi Giglio del Deserto, l’Aloe ha poteri terapeutici sorprendenti.
In passato era venerata da alcune popolazioni asiatiche perché considerata di origine divina, viste le sue proprietà guaritrici.
Aumenta il livello di ossigeno in casa, assorbe l’anidride carbonica, l’ossido di carbonio e la formaldeide. Per questo è perfetta se la mettete in camera da letto.
Il gel contenuto nelle foglie permette alla pianta di rimarginare la ferita quando viene spezzata. Sta bene in solitudine, quindi non mettetela con altre piante. Il suo significato è saggezza, integrità, dolore. In inverno innaffiatela pochissimo.

Those that I have chosen (and which I cultivate with love) belong to the succulent family, because they contain a reserve of water inside them; they are easy to maintain, do not require special attention, and should be watered shortly. In short, they are black thumb-proof indoor plants!
They will not be the most trendy plants of the moment but if you know how to love them they will give you great satisfaction.
In the vase put on the bottom some small stones, then some sand, then realize the superficial layer with some earth. If you want to put more than one in the same pot, combine with each other or all plants without thorns (succulent) or all plants with thorns (cacti).

OVATA CRASSULA
Also called Tree of Money or Jade Tree is a succulent that, according to Feng Shui, attracts prosperity and wealth and symbolizes the flow of money.
The leaves are oval in shape and look like coins, they are thick and shiny.
If you have to give a gift, this is the right plant! Place it in the south-east part of the house and give it water (very little) every 3-4 days.
ECHINOCACTUS GRUSONII
Also called Cuscino della dellaocera, Sfera d’Oro or Grusone. It has been so named because it resembles a porcupine and the meaning of the Greek word Echinos is precisely porcupine.
In winter, do not give it water, while water it very little in spring and summer.
Combine it with other spherical or columnar plants, it will be a guaranteed success! It can even reach 60 cm in diameter, but in order to achieve this size you will have to wait fifteen years (the same for having the first flowering). It’s great in the living room or in the kitchen. Do not give it to your mother-in-law, unless she is a cactus enthusiast;)

It should not be pruned, but only the dried or damaged leaves should be removed. When it’s cold, keep it away from home, because it needs a temperature of at least 15 °.
It adapts well to adversity, so its meaning is solidity and rebirth. The fact that it blooms at Christmas makes it a well-to-do plant and a symbol of renewal. It also represents a transition period from a bad period to a better one. Be happy if they give you this plant! It will add a touch of color to your studio or your craftroom.
AEONIUM
Very robust, the Aeonium has an extraordinary ability to adapt; for this reason its meaning is perseverance and lasting feeling.
There are many different species of Aeonium, there are 37, which differ in shape and color of the leaves and flowers; the shades vary from gray-green to reddish, light green and violet. It requires a sunny position (better if it is put on the outside during the summer) and always moist soil, but it is very afraid of the stagnant water. You can not prune, but only the dried or damaged leaves should be removed.
Put it in a nice vase; the greater this will be, the more it will multiply and in summer you will find beautiful flowers. A centerpiece made with the Aeonium will be super appreciated and impressive.
ALOE
Called by the Arab Lily of the Desert, the Aloe has amazing therapeutic powers.
In the past it was revered by some Asian populations because considered of divine origin, given its healing properties.
Increases the level of oxygen at home, absorbs carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and formaldehyde. That’s why it’s perfect if you put it in your bedroom.
The gel contained in the leaves allows the plant to heal the wound when it is broken. It’s good in solitude, so do not put it on other plants. Its meaning is wisdom, integrity, pain. In winter, water it very little
