Mi piace girare per i negozi di musica. Sono convinta che ci sia ancora chi come me, conserva i biglietti dei concerti e annusa i dischi vintage.
Gironzolando ho trovato queste tre copertine a tema Tarocchi e siccome penso che le coincidenze non arrivano mai per caso e una delle due copertine mi ha parlato forte e chiaro, ho deciso di dar vita a questo progetto.

NEW SOUND QUARTET – I TAROCCHI
Questo album è della band italiana New Sound Quartet e il titolo è per l’appunto “I Tarocchi”. Realizzato nel 1980, la trovo una colonna sonora perfetta per le letture dei Tarocchi o mentre li studiate. Prevalgono le tastiere e il flauto traverso, per un mix di Jazz/Funk/Soul. Ogni pezzo è dedicato ad un tarocco. Ho ascoltato tutto il disco e la mia preferita è “Il Diavolo”. Super consigliato. Mi hanno colpito i tarocchi specchiati (Piemontesi della Modiano) e la carta delle stelle …

PEARL JAM – NO CODE
Il CD della foto è quello dei Pearl Jam che sono da sempre la mia band preferita. Datato 1996, questo album è tutt’altro che commerciale e in qualche modo ha segnato la fine dell’epoca Grunge nata a Seattle. I simboli incisi sul CD sono quelli zodiacali e rimandano subito ad alcune immagini contenuti nelle sibille o nei Tarocchi come la bilancia della Giustizia, i Topi o i Pesci delle Lenormand, i gemelli che si abbracciano nel Sole… E’ un disco intenso e che ha segnato una trasformazione molto forte per questa band. Le mie canzoni preferite? Present Tense, I’m open e Who you are. Consigliatissimo!!!

TAROT & MUSIC PROJECT
I like music stores. I am convinced that there are still those like me who keep concert tickets and smell vintage records.
Strolling around I found these three Tarot themed covers and since I think the coincidences never come by chance and one of the two covers spoke to me loud and clear, I decided to give life to this project called TAROT & MUSIC.
If you also own or have found other tarot or playing cards themed records, I would be super pleased if you would like to share them and talk to me about them.
Take a photo of the cover of the LP or the record you’ve found and send it to me via email or via Instagram. Indicate the place of the find, the date and the name of the band and what struck you most (it can be an image, a color, a song, a card). If you have felt the need to buy a record or if its Tarot-themed cover has impressed you for some details, there is probably a precious meaning that you may not yet understand, but that can be revealed.

NEW SOUND QUARTET – I TAROCCHI
This record is of the Italian band New Sound Quartet and the title is “The Tarot”.
Made in 1980, I find it a perfect soundtrack for Tarot readings or while you study them. The keyboards and the transverse flute prevail, for a mix of Jazz/Funk/Soul.
Each piece is dedicated to a Tarot. I listened to the whole record and my favorite is “The Devil”. Super recommended.I was struck by the mirrored Tarot cards (Piemontesi of Modiano) and “the STARS”…
TAROT – THE SPELL OF IRON
Tarot is a Finnish Heavy Metal band that in 1980 recorded and produced “The Spell Of Iron”. This is one of my favorite covers.
Curiosity: the band initially formed by two brothers was called Purgatory, but then the record company asked him to change his name, so they changed it to Tarot.
In some ways it reminds me of Iron Maiden or the rock of the time (including the super ballad that made me cry). Please, listen to it!
Blue is the color of communication, the red of feeling and passion, the hand holds a tarot: the knight of swords …
From these two findings starts the idea that gave birth to the project
PEARL JAM – NO CODE
This is a Pearl Jam record, which has always been my favorite band. Dated 1996, this album marked the end of the Grunge era, born in Seattle. The symbols engraved on the CD are the zodiacal ones and immediately refer to some images contained in the sibyls or in the Tarot such as the scales of Justice, the Mice or the Pisces of the Lenormand, the twins who embrace in the Sun … It is an intense record and that has marked a very strong transformation for this band. My favourite songs? Present Tense, I’m open and Who you are. Highly recommended!!!
